No matter the season, outdoor environments afford unique and abundant opportunities for babies to engage in play-based learning and sensory activities, which is critical for their developing brains.
According to ACECQA, outdoor experiences can provide an opportunity to explore, discover and appreciate the natural world, be active, strengthen fine and gross motor movement skills, test physical limits and get messy! Time spent outdoors should be an essential part of the daily program for all children, including babies. It affects your child’s physical strength, coordination, and even immune system development.
Many outdoor activities naturally help young children develop essential motor skills like coordination, agility, and balance. Children who are encouraged to explore outdoor environments will put their abilities to the test and constantly develop new skills through trial and error.
Vitamin D aids in immune system development and strong bone and muscle growth and allows our bodies to heal more efficiently. It has also proven to play a big role in helping us establish healthy sleep cycles and mood stabilisation!
Extensive research has revealed that best practice early learning centre designs are essential in cultivating the connection between the indoors and outdoors. Our intentionally designed centres allow your child to grow, develop and explore the world around them at all times, no matter what space they are in.
At Ignite, our biophilic designed early learning centres focus on nature and the natural environment, improving overall learning and wellbeing outcomes for your children.
Our advanced cutting-edge, interactive resources and facilities enable us to provide children with individual and group learning experiences to allow them to develop optimally based on their interests, goals, and developmental requirements.
The uniquely designed play areas enhance each child’s creativity, social and physical play as well as self-connection with the surrounding natural environment. Our environments feature intentionally calming spaces which promote a sense of belonging. Our purposeful, open-ended resources are limitless in their creative potential, fostering a child’s sense of discovery.
We believe that our intentional space is a facilitator in building key social relationships among children and, educators and families; therefore, our environments strive to be welcoming, inclusive and encourage a collaborative learning approach for children to build upon each other’s ideas and for children and families to call our services a home away from home!
My children have been attending Ignite since the centre was opened. The educators and management have been very caring and involved in their job. The owner and the director are amazing and attend very promptly my all requests. The educators are very lovely and caring. I strongly recommend this childcare.
I would highly recommend families to enrol their children in this beautiful service. Ignite Early Learning Centre has a very warm and inviting environment for all families and children; the learning rooms are all filled with great resources and programs designed for the children’s developmental needs. I have been in the centre because I have friends who work there and I am very impressed with the pleasing and friendly educators working with the children and the management who are kind, down to earth and willing to help families at all times. It is also amazing to see the children’s daily activities and experiences which will help them grow as confident, responsible and caring children.
We have been going for almost a year now. Much much better than other centres such as the ones next door at bardia. Attitude to customer service, parents requests and concerns are the standouts. Staff are well trained and professional. Thry don’t whinge and have an attitude like many centres. Recommended by a parents who goes there as well. We recommend as well. Centre itself looks great, safe and tidy. The owner is the key. She is active in managing the centre.
