NSW Start Strong Funding
All Ignite ELC centres are recipients of funding under the NSW Department of Education’s Start Strong for Long Day Care program.
This program helps deliver affordable, quality preschool education to children aged 3 and above who are enrolled in eligible long day care services.
The Start Strong program is designed to:
- improve the affordability of preschool education
- support quality uplift in preschool education
- drive improved outcomes for children, and
- incentivise increased enrolment and attendance in quality preschool programs in the years before school.
3-Day Childcare Guarantee
Since January 2026, every family is entitled to at least three days of subsidised childcare per week under the Government’s new 3 Day Guarantee. This landmark reform means access to quality early learning no longer depends on parents’ work or study hours.
What this means for your family
- Subsidised Minimum: 72 hours per fortnight for all CCS-eligible families.
- Expanded Entitlement: Up to 100 subsidised hours per fortnight for families who meet the activity test or exemptions.
- First Nations Families: Guaranteed 100 subsidised hours per fortnight regardless of activity level.
- Implementation Date: From 5 January 2026.
- Income Cap: Families earning over $533,280 annually remain ineligible.
Childcare Subsidy
The Child Care Subsidy (CCS) system has made childcare more affordable for families across Australia, making early education more accessible. We want you and your child to benefit from the wonders of early learning, our quality programs and, as a registered childcare provider, reduced childcare fees through the CCS.
At Ignite, we want you to feel as best supported as possible, reducing any out-of-pocket expenses. As a registered childcare, we have access to all Government Childcare Fee Subsidies. Our helpful team is also ready and willing to assist in clarifying any questions you may have regarding eligibility.

My children have been attending Ignite since the centre was opened. The educators and management have been very caring and involved in their job.
